Why it fits Tenerife
The climate suits iced lattes and refreshing drinks. Residents and visitors already recognise matcha from specialty cafés, travel and social media. You do not need to explain it from scratch, but you do need to serve it well.
What customers notice
Colour comes first. Then they notice texture, sweetness and whether the matcha tastes clean or overly bitter. A bright green shade cannot replace quality, and extra syrup will not fix poor preparation.
A short menu works better
- Classic matcha latte, hot or iced.
- Strawberry matcha for a fruitier option.
- Ube matcha for a distinctive layered drink.
Three clear recipes are usually enough. Uncontrolled milk, ice and topping variations slow service and make consistency harder.
Before it reaches the menu
Test matcha with the water and milk used in your café. Define weight, temperature, whisking time and ice. Calculate the cost per glass too. For Matchakra Organic A+, our starting point is 2 g per drink.
