Use
Whisk with quick, light movements. Avoid pressing the whisk into the base of the bowl.
Care
Briefly soak the tines before use. Rinse afterwards and leave to dry completely.
Preparation
Prepare the whisk
Soak the tines briefly in warm water.
Whisk your matcha
Whisk 2–4 g of sifted matcha with water at 70–80 °C.
Rinse and dry
Rinse with lukewarm water and air-dry fully.
Common questions
Do I still need to sift the matcha?
Sifting helps break up clumps before whisking. The chasen then helps disperse the powder evenly in the water.
Can I use it for a latte?
Yes. Whisk the matcha with water first, then add milk. That gives you a smooth base for a hot or iced latte.
Does the price include matcha?
No. €18 is for one bamboo chasen. Matcha is available separately.
