Starting recipe

Ingredients

  • Ube powder at the recommended dose
  • 30–50 ml warm water
  • 160–200 ml milk or plant milk
  • Sweetener only if needed

Equipment

  • Small whisk or electric frother
  • Recipe scale or portion scoop
  • Serving glass or ceramic cup

Hot ube latte

  1. Whisk ube powder with warm water until completely smooth.
  2. Steam milk to your normal latte texture.
  3. Combine, taste and adjust sweetness only after tasting the full drink.

Iced ube latte

  1. Prepare the same smooth warm-water base.
  2. Fill the glass with ice and cold milk.
  3. Add the ube base and stir, or pour slowly for a layered presentation.

Three café combinations

Ube × Matcha

Build purple milk first, then float freshly whisked matcha on top.

Ube coconut

Use coconut milk and a restrained vanilla note.

Common problems

Why is the drink clumpy?

The powder was probably added directly to cold milk. Create a smooth warm-water base first.

Why is the colour dull?

Check the dose, milk colour, acidity and storage conditions.

Why is it too sweet?

Check the ingredient list before adding syrup. Some products may already contain sweetening ingredients.
